About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, maintaining IT systems, and supporting the seamless operation of our technology environment. Key Responsibilities

• Provide Frontline Support: Offer first-level technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and provide timely resolutions for IT-related problems.
• System Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and essential software applications, ensuring systems are up-to-date and functioning optimally.
• Infrastructure Management: Assist in the upkeep of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems, to ensure reliable and secure operations.
• Routine System Monitoring: Perform regular system checks, including data backups, to safeguard against potential threats and maintain system integrity.
• Security Maintenance: Utilize security solutions such as ESET to protect systems and ensure devices are secure and compliant with company standards.
• Vendor Coordination: Support coordination with external vendors for IT asset management, including procurement, repairs, and logistics.
• Document & Report: Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Assist in IT Projects: Support team members with IT projects such as system upgrades, software deployments, migrations, and other technology initiatives.
• Asset & License Management: Help track and manage IT inventory, ensuring proper allocation of hardware and software licenses.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work alongside colleagues from various departments to ensure that IT services meet the organizations evolving needs.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Technical Foundation: Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software tools.
• Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with keen attention to detail, capable of identifying issues and formulating solutions effectively.
• Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with end-users and IT team members in a clear and friendly manner.
• Learning Attitude: Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and best practices in IT.

Preferred:

• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or equivalent are a plus.
• Experience with IT Tools: Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and remote support tools.

Cloud/Virtualization Knowledge: Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
