Job Overview:

We are on the hunt for a Rockstar AVP, Data Science to join our leadership team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you will directly influence the future of our AI strategy and technology roadmap. You will report directly to the Co-Founder & Chief AI Officer and be responsible for leading next-gen AI models, Generative AI solutions, and LLM implementations that are set to transform our business and product offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the AI strategy for the company. Lead the development of cutting-edge generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), GPT, Deep Learning, and NLP.
• AI Thought Leadership: As the key technical leader, be the go-to person for all things AI in the company. Represent Foundation AI in industry forums, conferences, and papers. Influence the AI landscape through research and real-world AI applications.
• Innovation at Scale: Lead the end-to-end development and deployment of machine learning and deep learning models at scale, including developing NLP algorithms, Generative AI solutions, and LLM-based applications.
• High-Performance Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performance Data Science team. Lead by example, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
• Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with the Co-Founder & Chief AI Officer, product teams, business units, and engineering to ensure AI research and development aligns with the companys strategic goals and market opportunities.
• Research Excellence: Lead research initiatives to explore and advance state-of-the-art Generative AI models, LLMs, and other emerging technologies. Translate cutting-edge research into scalable products that drive business value.
• AI Visionary: Be the visionary driving the long-term AI roadmap. Lead the implementation of next-generation AI technologies, continuously identifying opportunities for disruptive innovations in document processing.
• Data & Model Governance: Define and implement robust processes for data governance, model interpretability, data privacy, and ethical AI practices. Ensure compliance with data regulations and security standards.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, operations, etc.) to integrate data science solutions into production environments effectively.

Skills and Tools:

• Experience: At least 10+ years of experience in AI and Data Science, with a proven track record of designing and implementing Generative AI solutions, Large Language Models (LLMs), NLP, and Deep Learning systems in real-world, production-scale environments.

• Generative AI & LLM Expertise: Mastery in building and deploying Generative AI models, especially GPT, BERT, T5, transformer-based architectures, and other cutting-edge NLP techniques. Demonstrated experience with advanced models and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, etc.

• Machine Learning Mastery: Expertise in applying deep learning, reinforcement learning, and unsupervised learning methods. Advanced understanding of model architecture, hyperparameter tuning, and model optimization for large-scale production environments.

• Data Science Visionary: Proven experience in leading AI teams and projects, including setting strategic direction, delivering complex solutions, and scaling AI-powered products to global audiences.

• Technical Leadership: Deep technical expertise in Python, R, and other programming languages. Proficiency in deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and more.

• Strong Mathematical & Statistical Foundation: Advanced knowledge of linear algebra, probability theory, and statistics with the ability to apply these principles to real-world data science problems.

• Cloud & GPU Acceleration: Experience deploying and scaling AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and using GPU-accelerated systems for large model training and inference.

• Publication and Research: A proven track record of research contributions to AI through papers, presentations, or patents. Active participation in the AI research community, including presenting at major AI conferences.

• Visionary Thinking: Ability to conceptualize, design, and drive forward-thinking AI solutions that deliver immediate business impact while positioning the company for future AI innovations.

• Leadership & Influence: Ability to lead a cross-functional team, influence C-level executives, and provide thought leadership in AI at all levels of the organization.

• Problem Solving & Communication: Excellent problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to solve highly complex AI challenges. Strong communication skills to clearly explain

Technical Skills

• Generative AI (LLMs, GPT, BERT): Expertise in generative models is a must-have for this role as it will enable you to develop and deploy cutting-edge solutions such as intelligent document processing systems and advanced conversational AI models. Familiarity with these technologies is essential to push the boundaries of AI-driven automation.

• NLP & Deep Learning: Must-have proficiency in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and deep learning techniques to build systems that can understand, analyze, and generate human language, especially for document and email classification, sentiment analysis, and generating insights from unstructured data.

• Machine Learning (TensorFlow, PyTorch): Extensive experience in TensorFlow and PyTorch is critical for designing and training scalable machine learning models. These frameworks will be used to implement AI models that power various aspects of our product, from document analysis to intelligent automation.

• Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP): Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS and GCP is a must-have to deploy and scale AI solutions in the cloud. These platforms provide the infrastructure and scalability required to manage large-scale machine learning operations and AI-driven workflows in real-time.

• Git / Docker / Kubernetes: A strong grasp of Git, Docker, and Kubernetes is essential for efficient version control, containerization, and orchestrating machine learning models in a production environment. These tools will ensure that the AI solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.

• Relational & Vector Databases (SQL, NoSQL): Proficiency in both relational (SQL) and vector (NoSQL) databases is a must-have to manage structured and unstructured data effectively. This expertise will ensure that our AI models are trained on high-quality data and can handle diverse data sources, including transactional and document-based data.

• Model Governance & Compliance: Must-have knowledge of model governance to ensure that AI models are developed in accordance with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance protocols. This is critical to ensure the responsible use of AI technologies, especially in document processing and data analytics.

• Computer Vision: While not mandatory, computer vision skills are highly valuable. Expertise in computer vision allows you to extend our document processing solutions by adding capabilities for analyzing images, videos, and scanned documents, creating a more robust AI solution.

• Document Processing Systems: Good-to-have experience with document processing systems is important for integrating AI models into existing workflows. Experience in this area will help you understand the complexities of document automation, classification, and workflow optimization within the context of intelligent document processing.

Education:

A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field from a prestigious institution in India or abroad. A strong academic foundation in deep learning, generative models, and computer vision is highly preferred.
