Job Description

System and Infrastructure Management

• Monitor system performance, network, and application logs to detect potential issues and ensure the health of AWS infrastructure.
• Implement and manage virtual networks, EC2 instances, RDS databases, and other AWS resources.
• Oversee scaling, load balancing, and failover processes to maintain system reliability and availability.
• Configure and manage VPCs, subnets, and security groups to establish a secure network environment.
• Implement security best practices (like managing permissions and encryption) to keep data safe and control who can access resources.
• Track AWS usage, optimize resource allocation, and recommend cost-saving options, like Reserved Instances and scaling strategies.
• Ensure regular backups and set up disaster recovery plans to protect data and maintain uptime.
• Set up alerts and dashboards to monitor system performance and generate reports to track usage and costs
• Expertise in System Manager for patch management and handling vulnerabilities

Troubleshooting

• Identify and resolve technical issues within AWS environments, including network, storage, and compute-related problems.
• Analyze logs and diagnostics data to troubleshoot system issues and determine root causes.
• Engage with AWS support and other third-party vendors when necessary to resolve critical incidents.
• troubleshooting capabilities in both Windows and Linux environments.
