Automation Engineer - Java/Selenium (6-9 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at our client's location in Hyderabad. In this full-time, on-site role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality of software by designing, developing, and executing automated test suites. You will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects, improve software quality, and accelerate the software delivery cycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured.

- Implement and maintain automated test frameworks using Cucumber or other BDD frameworks.

- Identify, analyze, and document software defects.

- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and troubleshoot issues.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to release.

- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

- Stay updated on the latest testing tools, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation.

- Strong proficiency in Java programming.

- Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver for web application testing.

- Experience with API testing using Rest Assured or similar tools.

- Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.

- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
