L2 Network Operations Center Engineer (5-8 yrs)

Role : NOC L2 Engineer.

Location : Chennai.

Experience : 5-8 Years.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Monitor and manage enterprise servers, network systems, and infrastructure in real-time to ensure optimal performance.

- Perform Level 2 troubleshooting and root cause analysis for server and network-related issues.

- Respond to alerts and incidents escalated by the Level 1 team, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.

- Utilize network monitoring and management tools to detect, diagnose, and resolve system anomalies.

- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for incident management and escalation when required.

- Perform routine checks, patch management, and updates to maintain system reliability and security.

- Generate and analyze system performance reports to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.

- Document incidents, resolutions, and preventive measures for knowledge sharing and process improvement.

- Maintain high levels of availability and reliability for critical business systems by adhering to SLAs.

Mandatory Skills :

- NOC Level 2 Expertise : Strong experience in handling escalations, troubleshooting, and resolution of critical network and server issues.

- Server Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Hands-on experience in monitoring tools, system log analysis, and resolving server-related issues.

- Network Monitoring Tools : Proficiency with tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, or equivalent network management systems.

- Protocols & Technologies : Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, and load balancers.

- Incident Management : Expertise in managing incidents through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.

Desired Skills :

- Understanding of ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure monitoring.

- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for task automation.

- Strong documentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
