Job Summary:
General Manager Finance and Accounts will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, strategic financial planning, and accounting functions for the company. This leadership role demands a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will ensure the company's financial health and stability while supporting its growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
Financial Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment activities.
Accounting and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise the preparation and submission of financial statements and reports.
- Coordinate audits and work with external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company's financial stability and integrity.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial information.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as a key point of contact for financial matters with senior management, the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to stakeholders.
- Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA are highly desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
- Proven track record in a leadership role within an NBFC or financial services company.
- Experience with financial planning, analysis, and reporting
