Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Consultant with a deep understanding of FICO (Finance and Controlling) business requirements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both ABAP development and the FICO domain, with the ability to understand, communicate, and implement finance business needs within SAP environments.

This role involves working directly with the Finance department to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications, as well as delivering high-quality solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience :

Experience :

- 7 to 12 years of ABAP development experience.

- Strong understanding of FICO business processes and the ability to communicate effectively with finance business users.

- Experience handling FICO business-related requirements and delivering SAP solutions.

Technical Skills :

- ABAP Development (60%) and FICO Functional Knowledge (40%).

- Object-Oriented Programming experience.

- Expertise in ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Classical Reports, Interactive Reports using ALV, Dialog Programming.

- Extensive experience in SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.

- Proficiency in Data Migration, Data Uploads using BDC and LSMW.

- Expert in developing RFCs, handling IDOCs, and working with BDC.

- Strong in ABAP Debugging, Performance Tools, Runtime Analysis, and SQL Trace.

Additional Skills :

- Strong communication skills to interact with the finance team and technical teams.

- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and deliverables.

- Expertise in technical design documentation, test scripts, and maintaining RICEFW matrices.

- Team management experience in handling technical activities and leading projects.

Key Responsibilities :

Requirement Gathering :

- Work closely with the Finance department to understand and gather business requirements, create Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and guide the technical team to deliver required solutions.

Technical Expertise :

- Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick identification of application issues and timely solutions.

Development Planning :

- Create detailed plans and estimates for development, system testing, and project implementation.

Transform Requirements :

- Convert business requirements into technical specifications for coding, testing, and debugging programs.

Testing & Debugging :

- Develop, code, document, and execute unit tests, system integration tests, and acceptance tests for complex functions.

Performance Tuning :

- Perform performance tuning to improve efficiency across multiple functions.

System Integration Monitoring :

- Ensure integration system activities, including monitoring technical architecture (scalability, availability, and archiving), meet all SLAs.

Operational Support :

- Manage operational support, work during change windows, and provide on-call support as required.

Ticket Management :

- Handle client tickets/issues and resolve them within the agreed timelines, ensuring high client satisfaction.

Documentation :

- Prepare business understanding documents, technical specifications, and testing documentation.

Transport Request Management :

- Manage transport requests for deploying developed objects using Solman (Solution Manager).

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

- SAP certifications in ABAP and FICO are a plus.
