Responsibilities :
- Strategizing and presenting ideas to stakeholders
- Defining product features to both stakeholders and the product team according to customer needs.
- Acting as a point of contact between teams and stakeholders.
- Managing and prioritizing product backlog items.
- Assisting the scrum/product development team to meet the objectives of each sprint
- Adjusting and improving each iteration of the product before release
- Identifying areas of improvement.
- Keeping customers and stakeholders informed of the status of the product
At a Glance :
- Product Owner certification (highly desired but not required)
- Plan and prioritize product development and product feature backlog
- Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they're clearly understood by relevant teams
- Prioritize Epics and Stories to ensure work aligns with product strategy
- Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, able to flex style and work with all levels within the organization from individual contributors to Executives
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or in a related technical field or equivalent technology experience.
- 6-8+ years of overall experience; can be a mixture of Project Management & Program Management experience, but requires the last 3-4 years to be focused in Product Management roles.
- 2-3+ years experience in Retail and Payments
- Strong relationship management skills and cross functional stakeholder relationship building skills
- Understanding of various delivery frameworks and practices (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.) and appropriate application of them.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous tasks and to coordinate activities with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders
- Understanding of business value related to features and functions
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation
- Strong collaboration skills to achieve business goals collectively across broad teams
- Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change
- Demonstrated hands on experience with Jira and Confluence
