Position Name GIS Developer

Experience - 3 + Years

Location – Delhi

Key Skills and Qualifications

1. Technical Skills
• Proficiency in GIS server configuration with open-source tools like GeoServer, MapServer, or QGIS Server.
• Expertise in managing spatial databases using PostgreSQL with PostGIS or equivalent database systems.
• Knowledge of GIS data formats, including vector (Shapefiles, GeoJSON) and raster (GeoTIFF, DEM, satellite imagery).
• Experience with web GIS frameworks like OpenLayers, Leaflet, or Mapbox.
• Understanding of OGC standards (WMS, WFS, WCS) for geospatial data publishing.
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automating GIS workflows.
• Proficiency with Desktop GIS application such as QGIS
• Experience with creating, editing/updating and maintaining GIS data
• Experience with creating and updating GIS maps
• Experience of working with various GIS data formats (CAD, shapefiles, Geodatabase feature classes etc.)
• Ability to convert GIS data from one format to other
• Experience with GIS development will be an added advantage
2. Analytical Skills
• Ability to design and implement geospatial workflows for data analysis, visualization, and decision-making.
• Proficiency in spatial analysis tools and techniques (buffering, overlays, geoprocessing, etc.).
• Exposure to spatial machine learning or predictive analytics will be an added advantage.
3. System Management
• Strong understanding of server architecture, cloud infrastructure, and system integration.
• Experience with hosting GIS servers on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) will be a plus.
4. Communication and Documentation
• Strong communication skills to explain technical workflows to stakeholders.
• Ability to prepare clear and detailed technical documentation and user guides.
