Job Description
- Design, implement, and manage sophisticated network solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other networking equipment.
- Perform network capacity planning, proactive maintenance, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and uphold network architecture standards.
- Conduct network assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and deploy automation tools and scripts to optimize network operations and improve efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address network outages and incidents promptly.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
Requirements- Bachelordegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in a senior network engineering role.
- Expert-level understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and network security (e.g., ACLs, VPNs).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper switches.
- Proficiency with firewalls such as Sophos, Fortinet, or open-source solutions like PfSense.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking and experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
- Experience with network virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Cisco ACI).
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve complex network issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent.
- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python).
- Familiarity with container networking technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Advanced degree (Masteror PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
