Finance Intern

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial data and trends to identify business opportunities or risks.
• Assist in internal audits and regulatory compliance checks, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Help in managing financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable and reconciliation.
• Support with the preparation of tax filings, VAT, GST returns, and other statutory compliance documentation.
• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management, summarizing financial performance and insights.
• Participate in financial modeling, valuations, and scenario analysis for business decision-making.
• Assist in streamlining and improving financial processes and systems.
• Contribute to special finance projects, ad-hoc tasks, and any other responsibilities as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Current enrollment in or completion of a CA (Chartered Accountancy) degree or IFCA (International Financial Consultants Association) certification.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial tools.
