Job Description
- Cleartrip Private Limited is looking for Senior DBA to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior database administrator to join our organization
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database management systems and a proven track record in managing and maintaining large-scale databases
- The senior DBA will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our database systems, as well as providing technical expertise and guidance to the database team
- This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Responsibilities:Manage and maintain the organization's databases, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and security
- Monitor the performance and health of database systems, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Conduct regular database performance tuning and optimization to enhance system efficiency and response time
- Develop and implement database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Collaborate with application developers and system administrators to design, implement, and maintain database systems that meet business requirements
- Troubleshoot database-related problems and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and impact on operations
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior DBAs, sharing best practices and promoting continuous improvement
- Stay up to date with emerging database technologies and trends, evaluating their potential benefits and making recommendations for their adoption
- Collaborate with vendors and external consultants to ensure the successful implementation and integration of database-related projects
- Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a database administrator, with a focus on managing enterprise-level databases
- Strong expertise in database management systems, such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Proficiency in database administration tools and utilities
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques
- In-depth knowledge of database security principles and best practices
- Familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures
- Strong understanding of database architecture and design principles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
