Senior UI Manager

As a Senior Engineering Manager - Frontend Technologies at Cleartrip, youll be a strategic leader who shapes the future of our user experience (UX) across Cleartrips travel platform. Youll guide a high-performing team of 15-20 frontend engineers and engineering managers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Youll not only possess deep technical expertise but also demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to empower your team, collaborate effectively across functions, and deliver impactful results that propel Cleartrips growth.

Requirements
BE/B.Tech (or an equivalent degree) in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 13+ years of experience in frontend engineering, with at least 5 years in the managerial role.
Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing frontend engineering teams.
In-depth understanding of modern frontend technologies and architectures for building highly scalable and performant web applications

Solid experience with a comprehensive frontend technology stack, including (but not limited to):
ReactJS (Next.js) with 5+ years of experience
Experience with building Single Page Applications (SPAs) and PWAs
(Progressive Web Apps), server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG) techniques
In-depth knowledge of CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap
Familiarity with TypeScript for strong type safety
Experience with state management libraries like Redux or MobX
Experience with UI component libraries like Material-UI or Ant Design
Experience with frontend testing frameworks like Jest and Cypress
Experience with build tools like Webpack or Parcel
Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

Preferred Skills
Experience with React Native or other hybrid mobile app frameworks
Experience with GraphQL or Relay for efficient data fetching
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure (a plus)
Experience with accessibility best practices (WCAG)
Experience in building and scaling large-scale frontend systems

 

Responsibilities
Lead the strategic direction for Cleartrips frontend technology stack, aligning it with the companys vision, business goals, and product roadmap.
Build and manage a high-performing team of frontend engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning.
Champion technical excellence by mentoring senior engineers, identifying talent gaps, and implementing programs to address them.
Partner with Engineering Leaders, Product Management, Design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless frontend integration and flawless user experiences.
Architect and design scalable, robust, and maintainable frontend solutions that meet Cleartrips performance and user experience requirements.
Oversee the implementation of best practices for frontend development and ensure consistent adherence across the team.
Drive the continuous improvement of development processes, including CI/CD pipelines and code review practices.
Attract, recruit, and retain top frontend engineering talent through a strong employer branding strategy and effective interviewing techniques.
Stay abreast of emerging frontend technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on Cleartrips platform.
Identify and implement strategies to mitigate technical risks and ensure the smooth operation of Cleartrips frontend infrastructure.
