Role & responsibilities

1. Responsible for managing the coding functions for all value-based care services (HCC coding and HEDIS Reviews).
2. The coding manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and educating coding staff and other departments to ensure coding quality and timely reimbursement.
3. Attend US client calls in the evening
4. Establishes and monitors the quality of the departments aligned with coding to support accurate patient information, compliant coding aligned with billing regulations and minimized corrections and re-work.
5. Educate and train coding staff, act as a professional subject matter expert and mentor to the staff.
6. Assists in the department budget and identifies and recommends opportunities to decrease cost and improve services.
7. Keeps abreast of new technology in coding and coding guidelines, stays informed about future issues impacting the coding functions, and acts as a liaison for other departments regarding coding questions.
8. Review medical record information to identify all appropriate coding based on HCC model.
9. Manage the coding workflow for efficiency.
10. Handles special projects as requested by leadership.
11. Participate in audits of coded data to validate documentation support services rendered for reimbursement and reporting purposes.
12. Comprehensive understanding of data systems and reporting for health record coding.
13. Consistently demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy in work product by meeting or exceeding productivity standards and maintaining a company standard of accuracy.
14. Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving ability regarding barriers to receiving and validating accurate HCC information.
15. Interpersonal skills necessary to provide effective leadership to departmental personnel.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience required - Minimum of 6 yrs - 15 yrs
• Certified candidates can apply
• Willing to work in Night Shift.
• A team leader provides guidance and instruction to a working group about a projects.
• They are in charge of delegating work, overseeing progress towards goals, and coaching team members as needed.
