Designation: MDM Analyst

Experience: 4-10 years

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, updating, and maintenance of departmental procedures, tools, and metrics for the master data team.
• Support the design and development of insurance-focused MDM workflows, data models, and processes, with a focus on understanding multi-dimensional relationships and hierarchical structures in policyholder data.
• Ensure alignment of data management processes within business value chains and key process areas.
• Assist in managing and coordinating responsibilities within the Master Data team, collaborating closely with business contacts to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Provide support to key users with training and awareness related to master data structures.
• Contribute to documentation for all phases of implementation (build, configuration, support, user guides, etc.).
• Ensure the integrity of master data in key systems and assist with maintaining processes to support data quality.
• Contribute to automating master data activities where possible to improve efficiency.
• Support special data-related projects, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data.
• Participate in data cleansing, normalization, and migration processes during system cutovers.
• Provide assistance in defining and maintaining MDM Models and configurations.
• Assist the data management team with various aspects of data strategy and iteration.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for defect resolutions and enhancements.

Requirements-

• 4-10 years of relevant experience in Master Data Management (MDM).
• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with MDM tools such as Informatica, Talend, or IBM.
• Strong analytical, data management, and process management skills.
• Hands-on experience with Insurance Taxonomy and Ontology, understanding how insurance data is classified and structured.
• Knowledge of business domain models and MDM scenarios.
• Proven ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to escalate issues when needed.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management concepts, Data Quality approaches, tools, and best practices.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SFDC) is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders and business teams effectively.
