MEPF Engineer

Job Title: MEPF Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Safety)

Job Summary:
The MEPF Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of MEPF systems for buildings and facilities.
• Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEPF systems into project designs.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to evaluate existing conditions and prepare technical reports.
• Support the procurement process by preparing equipment and material specifications for MEPF systems.
• Coordinate the installation, commissioning, and testing of MEPF systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety standards during installation and operation of MEPF systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MEPF systems during construction and post-installation.
• Prepare regular project progress reports and provide updates to senior engineers and management.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, timelines, and budgets for MEPF systems installation.
• Maintain and update project documentation, including drawings, reports, and technical manuals.
• Ensure the efficient operation of MEPF systems and assist with preventive maintenance and repairs.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in MEPF engineering, with knowledge of design and installation processes.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in MEPF design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale construction projects.
• Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency and sustainability practices in MEPF systems.
