MEP Core Plumbing and Fire Engineer

Role & responsibilities

System Design: Develop and design comprehensive plumbing and fire protection systems in

compliance with local regulations, building codes, and industry standards.

- Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other

engineering disciplines to ensure MEPF systems are fully integrated and executed as per

design.

- Material and Equipment Selection: Identify and select suitable materials, fixtures, and

equipment for plumbing and fire systems, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

- Installation Oversight: Supervise and provide technical guidance during the installation and

commissioning of plumbing and fire systems.

- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality control

checks to verify that installations meet regulatory standards, codes, and project specifications.

- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues arising during design,

installation, or maintenance phases of plumbing and fire systems.

- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, schematics, and as-built drawings,

as well as maintain records for compliance and project handover.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or Fire Engineering.

- 3+ years of experience in MEPF engineering with a focus on plumbing and fire protection

systems.

- In-depth knowledge of plumbing and fire protection codes, local regulations, and industry

standards.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional

teams.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate across disciplines.
