MEPF Technician

Job Summary:
The MEPF Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems. This role requires hands-on technical expertise in MEPF systems, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair MEPF systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all MEPF systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems. Ensure that all work complies with local codes, regulations, and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to plan and implement MEPF system installations and repairs.
• Assist in the commissioning and testing of MEPF systems, ensuring proper functioning and performance.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide installation and maintenance activities.
• Ensure that necessary tools, equipment, and materials are available for MEPF work and report any shortages.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed.
• Ensure the safe use of tools, equipment, and materials, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Support the MEPF team in troubleshooting and solving complex technical issues. Perform emergency repairs and on-call duties as required to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the training of junior technicians and other staff on MEPF system maintenance and best practices.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an MEPF Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance practices.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Valid drivers license and the ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including construction sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in specific MEPF systems or safety standards.
• Experience working in the MEPF industry, particularly on large-scale commercial or residential projects.
• Familiarity with energy-efficient technologies and sustainability practices in MEPF systems.
