Role & responsibilities
The responsibilities are :
Operation, Control and Monitoring:
1. Monitoring and reviewing the operation and maintenance of equipments and facility catering to Process, HVAC, ETP and Utility equipment.
2. Timely review planned preventive maintenance of Process, HVAC, ETP and Utility Equipments as per SOP and approved schedule.
3. Provide quality service system such as, potable water, Steam, compressed air, Vacuum etc.
4. Maintain and monitor the HVAC and Utility system.
5. Ensuring the submission of CER as per approved proposal related to facility, equipments, safety compliance and energy conservation. Tracking of CER for the timely approval from concerned stakeholders.
6. Involvement in the planning of new facilities and equipment or their replacement.
7. Recommending of facility acquisition, addition, alteration, replacement, maintenance, expansion, rehabilitation and disposal.
8. Designing of tools, equipments, buildings, machinery and safety and protective devices as per the safety and CGMP norms.
9. Ensuring the engineering support like modification / upgradation / changes required for the new product. Adhering the timelines for the completion as per target.
10. Planning and budgeting of Power Consumption, OPEX and CAPEX. Tracking and monitoring of budget on monthly basis. Analyzing the deviations against benchmarks and implementing the actions for controlling the same.
11. Ensuring proper housekeeping and upkeep of Engineering areas (Service or Utility areas, Technical areas, Plant terrace, etc.)
12. Encouraging team for the identification of various measures for controlling and reducing the available OPEX expenses by spare management and vendor development.
13. Maintaining the optimized inventory in Engineering stores. Ensuring the availability of Critical spares required to avoid major production delay.
14. Co-ordinating with concerned department in charges and heads for timely execution of engineering activities. Tracking to be done for all the activities as per plan.
15. Ensuring on-line bill processing against the availed services for the timely payment to vendor.
16. Ensuring the statutory compliance related to process and utility equipment’s, HVAC and facility.
17. Administrate expenditure controls and estimate construction costs
18. Follow the cost approval flow before executing job.
19. Ensure to attend the breakdown of machineries on time to have less impact on Quality and production and hand over.
20. Inspection of material received at engineering stores and approving the same and maintains the required inventory level for all equipment spares and Consumables.
21. Ensure timely executing Validation, Qualification and Calibrations protocols.
22. Updating and reviewing status labelling of equipment’s, instruments and colour coding of Solvent lines, Utility lines etc.
23. Adhere to general overview of calibration.
24. Follow-up with external vendors, OEMs etc.
25. Making sure of smooth operation, maintenance of Utility equipment’s and system as per the scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
26. Making Sure that potable water system should be qualified, appropriately monitored and action should be taken when limits are exceeded.
27. Providing routine advice, support and assistance to the team members.
28. Making sure that effective and timely completion of maintenance works.
29. Performing and reviewing unit operations. Handling and troubleshooting of system abnormality and communicating to cross-functions.
30. Maintaining the minimum inventory of the critical spares of utility equipment. Identifying equipment abnormalities and raise work request / permits to service provider for rectification.
GMP:
31. Ensure timely review and update all engineering SOPs, Layouts and other related documents along with quality assurance.
32. Follow the appropriate HVAC and Utility validations, calibrations and qualification of all equipment are performed, recorded and reports are made available and suggesting changes for simplification of SOPs.
33. Follow the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
34. Conduct the self-inspection and / or quality audit that regularly appraises the effectiveness and applicability of the Quality assurance system.
35. Follow the GxP procedures.
36. Ensuring the implementation of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) practices for making continual improvement in Quality system.
37. Following departmental standard operating procedures (SOP) and providing suggestions for SOP simplification and any other improvements.
38. Attending training as per training need. Providing schedule training to sub-ordinates.
39. Awareness of Contingency plan, which may affect the quality and quantity of products and follow procedure as per cGMP.
40. Executing and supervising Qualification, periodic Qualification, Validation and Calibrations protocols related to utilities.
41. Making sure that reliability of data, either paper or electronic with an intention to integrity of GXP data.
42. Operation of software systems like SAP, Trackwise,Cipdox and LMS software etc. based on roles and rights provided in the applications.
43. Awareness of Contingency plan, which may affect the quality and quantity of products and follow procedure as per cGMP.
44. Making sure that reliability of data, either paper or electronic with an intention to integrity of GXP data.
45. Reporting non-conformances and supporting in investigations
QMS:
46. Operating software systems like SAP, Trackwise, Cipdox and LMS software etc. based on roles and rights provided in the applications.
47. Ensuring the timely reporting and acknowledgement of non-conformances. Ensuring the timely completion of investigation with root cause analysis and appropriate CAPA in place.
EHS:
48. Following work authorization permit system & execute the work.
49. Strict adherence to personal, plant hygiene and adherence to safety, health and environment policy of organisation.
50. Monitoring safely operation of machine as per SOP with maximum efficiency
51. Adhere to general electrical safety.
52. Reviewing and updating the compliance of safety observations. Critical observations should be addressed immediately.
53. Participating and implementing the risk analysis, hazops of non-routine maintenance activities, system, equipment and process.
Training:
54. Identifying and conducting trainings to subordinates & Contractors for their development and improvement in skills and knowledge.
55. Attending training as per training need. Providing schedule training to sub-ordinates.
56. Performing any other assignment allocated, after ensuring appropriate training is in place.
Administrative:
57. Identify areas of wastage.
58. Co-ordinates with contractors and sub-contractors for scheduling of work.
59. Supervision and Motivation of personnel
60.
EnMS:
61. Follow the energy management guidelines & systems and conduct energy Internal Audit, Action plan and compliance.
62. Develop a program of energy-saving projects & measure, verify the savings achieved.
63. Identifying and implementation of Energy Saving Measures at unit level. Adhering to Energy Management System (EnMS) SOPs and related documents.
64. Making sure that Utility equipment’s are operating within established parameters mentioned in Energy performance index (ENPI) of Energy management system (EnMS)
65. Ensuring energy efficient utility equipment is proposed for new requirements.
Safety & statutory:
66. Making sure that utility equipment’s safety and workplace safety.
67. Ensuring statutory compliance of utilities and process equipment’s.
68. Providing routine advice, support and assistance to the team members.
69. Ensuring energy efficient utility equipment is proposed for new requirements.
70. Making sure that assessment and approval of External agencies should be done.
71. Making Sure personnel health, hygiene and organization practices are followed.
Others:
72. Performing any other assignment allocated, after ensuring appropriate training is in place
73. Planning and execution of plant shutdown activity.
Preferred candidate profile
B.E/ B.Tech in Mechanical with 10+ years of experience in mechanical section (API).
