In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the finance team, ensuring efficient, compliant financial management practices, and reporting. You will report directly to the Group Head- Finance & Accounts.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the entire Accounts & Finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, advance tax calculations, foreign currency transactions, and risk management.
- Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statement) in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and oversee the consolidation of accounts of group concerns as per Ind AS.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations, Companies Act, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and Income Tax Act, and ensure timely payments of statutory dues as per PF (Provident Fund) Act, ESI (Employees' State Insurance) Act, and other related legislations.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while adhering to regulations.
- Possess strong knowledge of project finance and actively participate in securing project funding, including exploring foreign currency loan options.
- Lead the finance team in credit rating improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively with internal and statutory auditors to ensure financial controls are functioning effectively.
- Develop and implement strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial data integrity.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous learning.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations, including exploring opportunities for automating financial reporting processes.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) OR ICWA with 15 years or M.COM with a minimum of 20 years of experience in a similar role within a reputed organization.
- Proven track record of leading and managing finance teams in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting principles (Ind AS) and financial reporting practices for private limited companies.
- Strong understanding of RBI Act, FEMA, Companies Act, GST, Income Tax Act, PF Act, ESI Act, and other relevant statutes.
