Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the modernization of mainframe systems, ensuring the integration and compatibility with distributed technologies.
Develop and implement strategies to streamline operational support for complex legacy systems, improving efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for modernization and enhancement of mainframe systems.
Provide architectural guidance and technical expertise in the design and implementation of modernized mainframe systems.
Develop and maintain documentation related to system processes, procedures, and technical configurations.
Investigate and troubleshoot system issues, providing timely resolutions and preventing any business disruptions.
Keep updated with emerging technologies and trends in the mainframe and distributed computing landscape.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical leadership and fostering their professional growth.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Mainframe Technology Development Lead or a similar role.
Extensive expertise in mainframe technologies, such as COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and IMS.
Proven experience in modernizing mainframe systems, including migration to distributed technologies.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
