Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Quality Engineer to join our dynamic Global Data Management team. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining a robust Data Quality framework. You will be responsible for data profiling, creating and executing DQ rules, monitoring data quality issues, and tracking remediation efforts. A strong understanding of Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) - DQ and Observability tools is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Profiling: Conduct in-depth data profiling to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies.
- DQ Rule Creation and Monitoring: Develop and implement comprehensive DQ rules to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Data Quality Issue Tracking: Monitor data quality metrics, identify and track data quality issues, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Framework Implementation: Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the overall Data Management Framework including Data Quality, Data Lineage and Cataloging components.
- Collaboration: Work closely with global data management teams, Informatica engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality standards are met.
- Observability: Leverage observability tools to monitor data pipelines and identify potential issues proactively.
- Cataloging and Data Marketplace: A strong understanding of data cataloging and data marketplaces is a plus, as it will enable you to effectively manage and govern data assets.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Total 5+ years of experience with 2-7 years of relevant experience in data quality engineering, data profiling, and data governance.
- Strong knowledge of IDMC - DQ and Observability tools and concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques.
- Experience with data integration tools like Informatica PowerCenter or similar.
- Understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Good to have Skills:
- Experience with data cataloging and data marketplaces.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI techniques for data quality improvement.
