Chief Architect - Director Grade

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Architect with 18-20 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in Database and SQL, Database and SQL (T-SQL), Database Commander, and Database Basics. This hybrid role requires a strategic thinker who can drive innovation and efficiency in our database systems. The position operates during the day shift and does not require travel.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and implementation of robust database architectures to support business needs.

- Oversee the development and optimization of SQL queries to ensure high performance and reliability.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the database development team.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Ensure database security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Develop and enforce best practices for database management and maintenance.

- Conduct regular performance tuning and troubleshooting to address any database issues.

- Implement data backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical information.

- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools to enhance system capabilities.

- Coordinate with other IT teams to integrate database solutions with existing systems.

- Monitor database performance and implement improvements to optimize efficiency.

- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to senior management.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance database operations and support business growth.

- Should have in depth working knowledge of either Oracle, MSSQL and knowledge about the all the current databases used in the industry.

- Working knowledge of PostGres is added advantage.

- Possess a deep understanding of Database and SQL, including T-SQL and Database Commander.

- Demonstrate expertise in database design, development, and optimization.

- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.

- Show proficiency in implementing database security measures and ensuring compliance.

- Have experience in developing and enforcing database management best practices.

- Display excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

- Be capable of mentoring and guiding a team of database professionals.

- Have a proven track record of evaluating and recommending new database technologies.

- Show ability to prepare and present technical reports to senior management.

- Demonstrate experience in implementing data backup and recovery strategies.

- Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple database projects simultaneously.

- Be proactive in driving continuous improvement initiatives.

- Have a strategic mindset to align database solutions with business objectives.

Certifications Required

Certified Database Administrator (CDBA), Certificate from Major OEM such as Oracle, Microsoft.
