Civil Supervisor

As a Civil Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and timely completion of civil and mechanical construction works at retail outlets and other facilities as per the approved plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring and Supervision:

• Monitor the construction of new retail outlets according to the approved drawings.
• Supervise the upgradation works of existing retail outlets, including the CNG facilities within the designated territory.
• Ensure the layout and marking of facilities in line with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor the marking of levels for planned facilities and earth filling operations.
• Supervise the preparation of structural designs for foundations, canopies, retaining walls, and drains as per project requirements.

2. Structural Work Supervision:

• Oversee the structural design and construction of building foundations, canopy foundations, retaining walls, and drains.
• Ensure construction drawings for all proposed facilities are accurate and followed.

3. Mechanical Works (Tank/Pump):

• Supervise the layout of pumps and tanks and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Ensure quality control for steel pipelines, including make, class, and coating thickness.
• Monitor the external coating thickness of tanks and other pipeline works.
• Supervise pit preparation and check the approved make and quality of fittings.
• Ensure pressure testing of piping is conducted and recorded.

4. Driveway Supervision:

• Design and supervise the construction of driveways based on CBR and traffic pattern analysis.
• Ensure proper slope marking and multiple layers of WBM/WMM.
• Supervise the laying of PCC and ensure paver surface quality.
• Ensure front and side drainage systems are properly designed with the correct slope and dimensions.

5. Dispenser and STP Works:

• Ensure dispensers are installed according to specifications, including shear-valve fittings, emergency shut-off switches, and break-away couplings.
• Supervise installation of mechanical leak detectors and check for functionality.
• Ensure dispensers are installed in compliance with NIP/UIP layout.

6. Canopy and RVI Works:

• Supervise the construction of canopy foundations and drainage as per drawings.
• Ensure that roofing, false ceiling panels, and rainwater gutters meet specifications.
• Check the structural integrity of the canopy and RVI, including certification from the structural designer.
• Ensure the proper installation of signage, lighting, and other visual elements.

7. Electrical Works:

• Ensure the quality of armored cables used for the canopy, pole, dispenser, and STP installation.
• Supervise the installation of earthing systems and check records for compliance.
• Ensure electrical panels, MCCBs, MCBs, and stabilizers are installed and meet standards.
• Oversee the foundation, height, and arm welding for light poles.

8. Civil Field Testing:

• Supervise and verify field tests such as compressive strength tests for bricks, silt content tests for sand, cement tests, and aggregate quality tests.
• Ensure all tests are conducted as per the standards and recorded.

9. Quality Assurance and Documentation:

• Ensure adherence to the quality assurance plan (QAP) for all elements of the project.
• Maintain records of tests, inspections, and certifications as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in retail outlet or infrastructure projects.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, including structural design and construction techniques.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems related to construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
