Hsse Manager

The HSSE Manager is responsible for ensuring health, safety, security, and environmental compliance across the assigned territory. This role involves conducting site inspections, delivering safety training, ensuring regulatory compliance, and taking immediate corrective actions when critical safety issues arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Visits and Inspections:
• Conduct regular visits to Dealer/Manager/Operator sites (RO - Retail Outlets) and ensure their availability.
• Carry out thorough inspections of the site and discuss observations with the Dealer/Staff after the visit.
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Explain the importance of compliance with safety regulations to Dealers/Staff, covering all aspects of safety protocols.
• Ensure the ERDMP (Emergency Response and Disaster Management Plan) compliance report is completed and up to date during each site visit.
• Ensure compliance with CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) regulations and educate RO staff on these regulations.
• Training and Safety Measures:
• Provide on-site training for safety practices and compliance measures.
• Ensure that the team is well-versed in ERDMP regulations, and explain the procedures to the RO staff clearly.
• Immediate Safety Rectification:
• Identify critical safety concerns during site visits (e.g., improper handling of materials, non-compliance with safety standards).
• Take immediate corrective actions for any safety issues observed, such as improper storage of sample containers or unsafe decantation practices.
• Report any safety concerns to the relevant officers both via call and in the official report.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, safety reports, and compliance documents.
• Document all non-compliance incidents, corrective actions taken, and ongoing safety issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Qualification:
• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Fire & Safety Engineering.
• Certifications:
• HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Certification.
• Fire & Safety Certification.
• Experience:
• 2 to 5 years of experience in HSSE management, with hands-on experience in conducting safety inspections, training, and compliance audits.
• Other Skills:
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including ERDMP and CPCB guidelines.
• Good communication skills to effectively deliver training and discuss safety concerns with staff.
• Ability to identify safety hazards and immediately implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency in safety documentation and reporting.
• Additional Requirements:
• Must have their own vehicle for travel within the assigned territory.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Maharashtra and Goa regions.
