Commercial/ Export - Manager/ Sr. Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Export Operations & Logistics Management

• Plan, execute, and monitor monthly export shipments.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters for cost-effective and timely shipments.
• Ensure smooth customs clearance by managing documentation and liaising with clearing agents.
• Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, from order processing to final delivery.

2. Freight Negotiation & Vendor Management

• Negotiate freight rates with shipping lines and logistics providers to optimize costs.
• Identify and onboard new logistics partners to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.

3. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to international trade laws, import-export regulations, and customs procedures.
• Oversee pre- and post-shipment documentation, including LC (Letter of Credit) handling, bill of lading, and regulatory paperwork.
• Manage GST refunds, DBK serial numbers, and incentive claims.

4. Coordination & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with production, QC, and marketing teams to prioritize shipments and meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with finance and accounts teams to streamline payments, duty drawback claims, and export incentives.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and resolve any logistics-related issues.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Track shipment KPIs, cost savings, and delivery timelines.
• Analyze export trends and suggest improvements to optimize processes.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on export performance and challenges

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Industry Experience:

• Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or Manufacturing sectors with significant export activities.
