Research Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Specialist to join our dynamic Healthcare and Life Sciences practice. In this role, you will conduct in-depth research and analysis to support strategic decision-making for our clients, who are global leaders in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Analysis

• Conduct primary and secondary research to gather market intelligence, industry trends, and competitor insights.
• Analyze data to identify emerging opportunities and challenges in the healthcare and life sciences domains.
• Synthesize findings into actionable insights and recommendations.

Report Writing & Documentation

• Prepare comprehensive research reports, white papers, and presentations.
• Draft high-quality documents for client deliverables, ensuring clarity, precision, and alignment with project objectives.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with internal consultants and analysts to provide research support on client engagements.
• Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and team members to align on project goals and timelines.

Market & Industry Expertise

• Stay updated on the latest advancements, regulatory changes, and innovations in the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
• Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare services, and medical devices.

Data Tools & Techniques

• Utilize research tools, databases, and analytical frameworks to derive meaningful insights.
• Support data modeling and visualization to present complex information effectively.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Analytical Skills: Ability to process large amounts of data and distill key insights.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-specific tools, databases (e.g., PubMed, Cortellis, Factiva), and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare and life sciences, including trends in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and healthcare systems.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and solution-oriented mindset.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare Management, or related fields.
• 3–8 years of experience in research roles within consulting firms, market research organizations, or life sciences companies.
• Experience in conducting primary and secondary research for healthcare and life sciences clients.
