JOB DESCRIPTION_ HEAD OF DEPARTMENT:
- Chandigarh university aims of ensuring holistic professional and personal student excellence which is turned into reality through its innovative centralized department -Department of Career Planning & Development (DCPD) that strives hard for the upliftment of the students of Engineering, MBA, MCA, BCA, BBA & B.Com by providing them training on Personality Development, Grammar, Vocabulary, Spoken English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical
- Reasoning and Data Interpretation to help them achieve the zenith of success in their chosen career path.
Job Title - Head Of Department
Department: Department of Career Planning & Development
Brief Description of Job:
- To liaison with Academic Department, DCPD Trainers Students and DCPD Trainers & maintain a seamless flow of information across all the channels
- To ensure that the Master Student Data is maintained properly. Schedule the meetings with the TPP CRs to understand their concerns (if any) and prepare the Action Taken Report and Meeting Minutes
- To execute the duty charts for the training sessions, Mock PI/Inter-Branch GDs, evening remedial sessions, special workshops, etc,
- To take feedback on the effectiveness of training, trainers, and content from students
- To create requirement of trainers, the Trainer Sharing Matrix and Time Table as per the given number of trainers, students, group size, and applicable weekly hours required for making the timetable of the regular sessions
- To create and provide high quality Soft Skills & Aptitude content
- To prepare and provide the surprise tests, assignments for the ongoing semester to the team of Soft Skills Trainers & Aptitude Trainers.
- To create and maintain the CUIMS as well as I-assess test master summary for various online test like Quiz Tests,
- Evening CU CAT Test with detailed difficulty level of each question and question category
- To create questions for students/alumni to participate in major DCPD/University events like CAB, Peer Mentoring Session, AMCAT Analysis, Pre-Placement Talk, Rendezvous with Alumni, etc.
- To create and audit assessment formats for Soft Skills activities along with detailed rubrics.
- To audit the assessment record maintained by the Soft Skills & Aptitude Team and prepare analysis on the same
- To ensure timely quality creation as well as audit of monthly magazine of DCPD
- To ensure timely submission of Internal and External Rewards of Soft Skills & Aptitude to COE
- To train a team of ELPD & Aptitude trainers on content to be delivered in various course codes and ensure quality delivery of Soft Skills content by the team of trainers through regular quality checks of Soft Skills session by visiting the classes and taking necessary actions as per the SOP
- To train and audit Master Subject Coordinators on content creation and quality assurance.
- To train students w.r.t. content and delivery for various Soft Skills & Aptitude Contests/events online and offline.
- To organize and conduct Train the Trainer/Knowledge Sharing Programs for fresh and experienced trainers.

Qualification:
- Preferably MBA or B.Tech
- 5 years of minimum experience in Placement Training in a Private University or College
Experience - Language Known Must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing English.
JOB SPECIFICATION - REQUIRED SKILLS:
- To utilize 9 man hours of the day in achieving the best possible outcomes of the given tasks
- To extend the working as and when required for the Departmental work depending on the urgency of the tasks or task assigned by the reporting manager
- To achieve all the tasks as per KRA and SOP within the time lines provided by the reporting authority
- To be able to prioritize tasks and avoid getting sidelined by interruptions. If you are working on the last-minute details of a report for a meeting that starts in 30 minutes, don't accept a drop-in visitor's request to "ask you something really quick." You may say NO in order to complete task given by your reporting manager
- Time Management
- To be able to take any strict action/decision even for your team members who are working with you since the long time
- Decision Making - To be able to make wise decisions in case you are not able to contact your reporting manager
- To be aware about the functioning of Learning Management
- Systems (LMS) and eLearning development systems, tools and resources
- To have through knowledge of Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google
- Docs & Google Drive to be able to effectively utilize the same for day-to-day
- To be able to make professional, corporate PowerPoint presentations, drafting word docs and making error-free excel
