Job Description
- Quality Assurance and Control:
- Monitor and manage quality aspects of production to ensure product conformance to specifications and standards.
- Oversee the implementation of quality management systems (QMS) and industry-specific standards (e.g., ASTM, ASME, ISO 9001, etc.).
- Identify and drive corrective actions and process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):
- Perform, supervise, and validate NDT procedures including ultrasonic testing (UT), eddy current testing (ECT), magnetic particle testing (MT), and dye penetrant testing (PT).
- Analyze and interpret NDT results, ensuring compliance with the relevant codes and standards.
- Conduct and review NDT inspections and support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for product defects.
- Audit & Compliance:
- Lead internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare and present audit reports with detailed findings, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with customers and third-party agencies to address audit observations and ensure timely resolution.
- Process Improvement & Problem Solving:
- Evaluate and recommend improvements in the manufacturing processes to enhance quality, reduce waste, and optimize productivity.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product defects and non-conformances.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control and inspection activities.
- Team Collaboration and Training:
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians on quality procedures, NDT techniques, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and quality consciousness across production teams.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, testing, audits, and quality reports.
- Review and approve final inspection and test reports, including the preparation of quality certificates.
