General Manager - Projects

The General Manager - Projects will oversee and manage all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery for large-scale real estate developments. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, construction, and real estate development.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Strategy:

• Develop and implement project execution plans aligned with business goals.
• Define project scope, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project delivery.

Execution Management:

• Oversee end-to-end execution of real estate projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to drive project progress.
• Monitor project schedules, cost controls, and resource utilization to achieve desired outcomes.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Ensure all construction activities adhere to company standards, regulatory guidelines, and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality and compliance benchmarks.
• Address deviations and implement corrective actions promptly.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and vendors.
• Foster strong relationships with contractors and consultants to ensure collaboration and accountability.

Budget & Financial Oversight:

• Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement and resource utilization.
• Analyze and report financial performance, highlighting variances and opportunities for savings.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and other professionals.
• Build a high-performance culture, promoting innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare and present regular project progress reports to senior management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all project-related activities and decisions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Background:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Construction Management is preferred.

Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in project execution, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience in real estate development, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
