We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join us in Litigation and non-litigation role by providing support to the senior attorneys in various real estate transactions and legal matters.
Key Responsibilities: Non-Litigation
1. Conduct legal research on real estate laws, regulations, and precedents.
2. Analyze and summarize relevant legal information to support senior attorneys in case evaluations and transactional matters.
3. Stay updated with changes in real estate laws and regulations.
4. Assist senior attorneys in drafting and reviewing real estate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
5. Conduct due diligence on properties, including title searches, surveys, and zoning verifications. Organize and maintain real estate files, contracts, and related documentation.
6. Track deadlines, court dates, and other important milestones to ensure timely compliance. Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and address their inquiries. Coordinate legal assistants and other staff to ensure smooth workflow and effective task completion.
7. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
Key Responsibilities: Litigation
Litigation Management:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the companys litigation portfolio, including pre-litigation disputes, ongoing litigation, and post-litigation matters.
2. Develop and implement litigation strategies to protect the company's interests and minimize risk. Handle complex and high-stakes litigation cases directly or coordinate with external counsel as needed.
3. Provide expert legal advice and counsel to senior management, executives, and other internal stakeholders on litigation-related matters.
4. Analyze legal issues and offer practical solutions that align with the companys goals and risk tolerance.
Case Preparation and Management:
5. Conduct thorough research; prepare legal documents, and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
6• Manage discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.
Stakeholder Communication:
7• Communicate effectively with internal departments, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders regarding litigation matters.
8• Represent the company in court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
9• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to litigation.
10• Identify potential legal risks and advise on strategies to mitigate them.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
11• Maintain accurate records of litigation matters and related documentation.
12• Prepare regular reports on litigation status and outcomes for senior management and the
board of directors.
Qualifications: Education and Experience:
• LLB graduate
• Licensed to practice law in Karnataka.
• Expertise in reading and writing in Kannada language
• Strong academic record, preferably with a focus on real estate law coursework.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of real estate laws, contracts, and transactions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manages workload, and meets deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in legal research databases and MS Office Suite.
