Finance Manager - Century Cinemax Limited - Kampala, Uganda, Africa

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Oversee Finance, Accounts, and Stores across all sites within the assigned region.
• Led a team of cashiers and accountants at each site as the Functional Reporting Authority.
• Supervise the financial and inventory management of the sites, which is your responsibility.
• Handle Food & Beverage (F&B) and other orders made at each location.
• Prepare and send daily, weekly, fortnightly, and monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports to the Country Head / Directors.
• Act as the reporting manager for cashiers and storekeepers at each site.
• Maintain up-to-date and reconciled receivables and payables at all times.
• Implement cost-control measures to optimize operational expenses.
• Assess cost-saving opportunities and negotiate contracts and agreements as needed.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to protect financial assets.
• Manage cash flow collections and deposits, ensuring sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
• Oversee cash handling procedures at cinema locations and ensure income and expenses are reconciled from these sites.
• Provide training and guidance to cashiers and storekeepers to ensure consistent financial practices.
• Collaborate with regional and corporate management to align financial objectives with overall business goals.
• Monitor and analyze the financial performance of cinema locations within the region.
• Review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Serve as the point of contact for resolving system-related difficulties faced by sites, and communicate these issues to the Head Office (HO) team.
• Ensure compliance with site-level regulations.
• Verify and affirm all reports submitted by cashiers and storekeepers promptly.
• Collaborate closely with the Country Head and Central Finance Team for smooth execution and adherence to established processes.
• Work closely with the Operations Team to implement cash and store policies.
• Conduct audits of site operations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Preferred BCom/ MCom /MBA in Finance.
• Exp 4-5 years with min 2 years in the Cinema
