Job Title : OutSystems Software Developer

Position Summary :

The OutSystems Software Developer is tasked with designing, implementing, and supporting custom-developed software applications for various operational needs of Ceres and its subsidiaries across the United States, Caribbean, Pacific and New Zealand. Working as part of a dedicated team, this role plays a pivotal part in assisting our field users on a daily basis, focusing on the creation of applications for data collection and editing across iOS devices and laptops. A significant advantage would be experience in developing applications that can operate offline.

Duties and Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and configure high-quality applications using OutSystems ServiceStudio, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

- Create Application Objects (AOs) to function as reusable components.

- Ensure high-quality coding in the implementation of software modules, consistently adhering to industry best practices.

- Craft intuitive website layouts/user interfaces employing standard OutSystems web and mobile technologies.

- Design and develop robust integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.

- Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging to identify and rectify any software glitches.

- Address software malfunctions proactively, diagnosing root causes, and seeking resolutions through either OutSystems customer support or independent means.

- Aid in the assessment and adoption of suitable tools and technological solutions.

- Champion the establishment and refinement of technical standards to elevate the quality and efficiency of IT solutions.

Minimum Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- At least 2 years of experience in software development using OutSystems.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in custom software solutions tailored to diverse business processes.

- Possession of at least one OutSystems Developer Certificate (Web and/or Mobile).

- Proficiency in Azure and Microsoft365 environments.

- Experience in developing offline-capable applications is highly desirable.

- Prior exposure to geo-centric software solutions is an added advantage.

Knowledge and Skills :

- Solid understanding of foundational software development principles.

- Core knowledge of UI/UX design principles.

- Acquaintance with standardized software testing methodologies.

- Ability to function efficiently with minimal oversight.

- Deep knowledge of JavaScript.

- Familiarity with both relational databases and non-relational databases.

- Exceptional listening and questioning aptitudes, coupled with the capacity to engage confidently within the organization to decipher challenges and convey solutions.

- Outstanding problem-solving acumen with a keen eye for detail.
