CDW - L3 Microsoft 365 Engineer (8-10 yrs)

Job Title : Microsoft 365 L3 Engineer.

Location : Chennai/Bangalore.

Experience : 8+ years in IT, 7+ years in Microsoft 365 technologies.

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 L3 Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of all current Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Office 365 workloads and in-depth expertise in at least three core areas such as Exchange Online (EOL), SharePoint Online (SPO), Azure Active Directory/Entra ID (AAD), Teams, OneDrive for Business (OD4B), Defender workloads, and Endpoint Manager/Intune.

The candidate must also have a good grasp of hybrid configurations, including Exchange On-Prem (EOP), ADConnect, DirSync, ADFS, AD, and SSO.

Key Responsibilities :

- Microsoft 365 Administration & Support : Manage, configure, and support Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.

- Expertise in Core Workloads : Provide L3-level expertise in at least three M365 workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Azure AD/Entra ID, Teams, Intune, etc.

- Hybrid Configurations : Maintain and troubleshoot hybrid setups involving Exchange On-Prem, ADConnect, DirSync, ADFS, and SSO.

- Security & Compliance : Implement and enforce security policies, including Conditional Access, MFA, Defender for O365, and other Microsoft security solutions.

- Migration & Integration : Perform migrations from on-premises to Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive migrations.

- PowerShell Scripting : Develop and utilize PowerShell scripts for automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of M365 environments.

- Incident Management & Troubleshooting : Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex M365-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

- Collaboration & Documentation : Work closely with cross-functional teams, document best practices, and create detailed SOPs.

- Licensing & Cost Optimization : Manage and optimize M365 licensing to reduce costs while ensuring compliance.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of IT experience with at least 7+ years working with Microsoft 365 technologies.

- Deep expertise in at least three Microsoft 365 workloads such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Azure AD/Entra ID, Microsoft Teams, Intune, OneDrive for Business, and Defender workloads.

- Strong knowledge of Hybrid Configurations, including Exchange On-Prem (EOP), ADConnect, DirSync, ADFS, AD, and SSO.

- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, administration, and troubleshooting.

- Experience with security and compliance in Microsoft 365, including Conditional Access, MFA, and Defender solutions.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve complex M365 issues at the L3 level.

- Hands-on experience with migrations (Exchange On-Prem to Exchange Online, SharePoint migrations, Intune device enrollments, etc.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills to support internal teams and end-users.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Microsoft 365 certifications such as MS-100, MS-101, MS-203, MS-500, AZ-104, or equivalent.

- Experience with third-party M365 migration tools (i.e., Quest, BitTitan, SkyKick).

- Knowledge of Microsoft Graph API and automation tools.

- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST.
