Job Description

As a Red Hat OpenShift Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the availability, scalability, and security of containerized applications while collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deployment and Configuration:
• Deploy and configure Red Hat OpenShift clusters according to best practices.
• Set up and maintain cluster authentication, RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), and security policies.
• Customize cluster configurations to meet specific application requirements.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
• Implement monitoring solutions to track the health and performance of OpenShift clusters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cluster operations and application deployments.
• Perform regular system checks and updates to ensure optimal cluster performance.
• Scaling and High Availability:
• Manage cluster scaling, including the addition and removal of nodes as needed.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for OpenShift clusters.
• Security and Compliance:
• Ensure the security of OpenShift environments by applying security patches, access controls, and network policies.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery:
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures for OpenShift clusters.
• Test and verify disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Automation and Scripting:
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting and orchestration tools.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize application deployments.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cluster configurations, procedures, and best practices.

• Qualifications:
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and container technologies (Docker).
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
• Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) and experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable.
