About the role
Indirect Operations Lead will work with supply chain category management team and internal COE Teams to ensure that BAU activities are performed by the team on time and with accuracy . The lead would be accountable for working with internal stakeholders to assess current process/performance and highlight risks, create a mitigation plan and ensure minimal impact on operational activities. The leads need to ensure that KPIs are met and build a robust governance mechanism
Build Organizational Capability and Capacity to complement the growth and high performance expectations. Develop and enhance continuous improvement culture and drive the organization towards CoE. Own Attracting, Hiring, Engaging, Developing and Retention of diverse talent.
You will work with global supply chain, across sites and regions to ensure that BAU operations activities are delivered on time
Key Responsibilities:
As a Associate Manager - Supply Chain Management, you ll be responsible for:
A. Core Indirect Operations/Sourcing knowledge
Knowledge and exposure to Indirect categories, cost reduction, sourcing, , driving demand control, policies, best practice thereby guiding team to drive best outcomes for Carrier
Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and managing risks associated with operations.
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborating with departments like marketing, finance, accounting, and human resources to ensure smooth operation
Should have experience driving day to day operations for procurement and sourcing teams
B. Team strategy
Strategic thinking- ability to think through and independently define priorities for team Facilitating training and development programs to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively. Periodic engagement with stakeholders to define strategy, align on strategy, adapt strategy based on changing business needs and stakeholders expectations
C. People management
Excellent People Management skills coupled with an empathetic leadership style Strong desire to drive for results Strong sense of accountability for self and others Strong program management skills, including change management Excellent influencing / negotiation skills and ability to work multi-dimensionally in a complex business environment - ability to influence upward, peer-wide, and downward Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work effectively within teams and collaborate with other Carrier entities/ stakeholders for completion of projects Self-directing and self-motivating An individual with a strong sense of urgency An individual with strong people development focus
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of supply chain management experience, exposure to CoE environment essential.
Bachelors Degree from a premier institute is a must, MBA
Strong sourcing knowledge
Should have managed a team of 4-10 direct reports
Ability to work in a global environment with global stakeholders across multiple countries
Strategic thinking- ability to think through and independently define priorities
