Physical Benchmarking - VAVE

Experience Required: 3 to 5 years in the field of automotive benchmarking/VAVE methodology.

Location - UAE

Education/Experience Required:

- Bachelor/Diploma in Automobile engineering / Mechanical Engineering & Manufacturing Engineering.

Skillset Required:

- Knowledge of automotive systems, components, manufacturing processes, Function and assembly sequence

- Proficiency in Automotive Benchmarking with update in current technologies.

- Experience with automotive OEM or equivalent in BIW, Seats, chassis systems, Closures, Thermal any one or more systems & Integration design and development.

- Strong analytical and Problem-solving skills.

- Good in material properties and understanding

- Good knowledge of functional objectives of vehicle with respect to durability and NVH, Crash and vehicle dynamics

- Must have knowledge of manufacturing process for both Metal alloys & Plastics

- Experience of packaging study and component design

- Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed reports on vehicle teardown, systems, and subsystems.

- Understanding the assembly/disassembly sequence and preparing the detailed report for the mounting strategy.

- Use benchmarking data to generate actionable insights for product improvement.

- Analyze the vehicles/components for cost, and design insights.

- Identify cost-reduction opportunities through design optimization and material selection.

- Evaluate alternative materials for cost and quality improvements.

- Analyze and develop cost saving observations from live teardown.

- Collaborate with Teardown engineers, SMEs, and other stakeholders to understand:

• Mechanisms
• Materials
• Manufacturing Processes
• Costing, etc.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement VAVE ideas.

- Support teams in decision-making with data-driven insights.

- Ensure the safety and effectiveness of a process, system or product.

- Track industry trends and advancements in automotive technologies.

Preferred:

- Photoshop knowledge is an advantage.

- Automotive Benchmarking.
