Legal Expert - QSR Industry - CS/LLB (5-10 yrs)

Hiring for a client of ours.

You will be responsible for:

1. Corporate Governance & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, statutory, and legal requirements relevant to the QSR industry for all entities in India

- Compliance with Companies Act, Secretarial Standards, FEMA, ensuring all board meetings and general meetings are held as per timelines stipulated under the Act. All necessary BRs to be crafted and approved as when required.

- Ensuring all filings like FLA, Annual Return, Financials, DPT-3, MSME-I on prescribed timelines.

- Support to controls , finance and tax team during statutory audit.

- Prepare and maintain statutory records, filings, and registers, adhering to all regulatory requirements.

- Conduct regular compliance audits and maintain updated knowledge of relevant legal developments impacting the business.

2. Stakeholder Management

- Act as the liaison between the legal department and other business functions to facilitate smooth cross-functional operations.

- Build relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and relevant industry associations.

We are looking for someone with:

- Qualifications: Company Secretary (CS) and LLB from a recognized institution.

- Experience: 5+ years of experience in corporate legal or compliance roles, preferably within the QSR or FMCG sector.

Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of corporate law, companies act, FEMA, handling of board meetings and related compliance, regulatory requirements for the QSR industry.

- Proficiency in risk assessment.

- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
