Job Description

The School of Health & Allied Sciences is seeking to appoint a passionate, driven and innovative person to lead the whole school.

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified and experienced teacher to lead this growing subject at Career Point University which values emerging technology and that is looking to be at the forefront of digital learning.

Roles and Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate should be willing to take the initiative and bring about positive changes.
• The ideal candidate must be up to date with changes in education policies including the 5th Dean Committee recommendation.
• The ideal candidate should be a very good communicator and a team builder.
• The ideal candidate should develop strategies for promoting student engagement and learning in collaboration with Academic Affairs.
• The ideal candidate should possess a track record of taking significant initiatives to enhance and support teaching, learning, and assessments.
• The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in research and academic administration within a private or public university system, preferably with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Dean, Director, Head of Department, or an equivalent role. It is also essential that they possess proven credentials such as publications, R&D projects, patents, and technologies generated, as well as teaching methodologies developed. These experiences and credentials will play a crucial role in evaluating the candidate's suitability for the position.

Desired Candidate Profile

(i) Doctorate in any branch of Pharmacy

(ii) 10-15 years of experience in teaching and/or research of which five years should be in a position of responsibility of Professor or equivalent.

(iii) Desired candidate should be evidence of exceptional leadership skills and notable accomplishments in teaching and organizing educational activities.
