Mould Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop molds for various manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, die casting, or compression molding.
• Create detailed mold designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Conduct feasibility studies to ensure the molds meet product requirements, quality standards, and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with production teams to understand manufacturing processes and optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Select appropriate materials for mold construction and design based on product requirements and production volume.
• Perform simulations and analysis (e.g., stress, thermal analysis) to predict performance and prevent failures.
• Prototype and test molds to ensure they function as expected and meet customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any mold-related issues during production.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for mold design and manufacturing processes.
• Liaise with customers to understand requirements and make design adjustments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Experience in mold design, preferably with injection molding or die casting.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of mold materials and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of tolerances , surface finishes, and other key design aspects.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and testing methods.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
