Education: ITI/Diploma in Tool & Die Making / Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Mould Maker / Tool Maker to join our Tool Room team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining press tools, injection moulds, jigs, fixtures, and die-casting tools. This role requires precision machining, assembly, troubleshooting, and hands-on experience with CNC, EDM, and conventional machining.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Tool & Mould Manufacturing & Assembly:

• Manufacture and assemble injection moulds, press tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Perform precision fitting, polishing, grinding, and finishing operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD models.

✔ Machining & Fabrication:

• Operate CNC milling, wire cut EDM, EDM sparking, lathe, surface grinder, and drilling machines.
• Perform tool modifications and rework as per design changes.
• Work with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, MasterCAM, UG NX, SolidWorks) for tooling design analysis is plus.

✔ Tool & Mould Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of moulds and tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Identify and resolve issues like flashing, warpage, burrs, misalignment, and wear & tear.

✔ Quality & Process Optimization:

• Work closely with production, quality, and design teams to ensure tools meet specifications.
• Improve tooling and moulding processes to enhance productivity and accuracy.

✔ Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain records of tool/mould history, modifications, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and safety regulations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

🔹 Technical Skills:

• Tool & Die Making (Injection Moulds, Press Tools, Die Casting, Jigs & Fixtures)
• CNC Programming & Operation (VMC, Wire Cut EDM, EDM Sparking)
• Surface Grinding, Milling, Drilling, and Conventional Machining
• CAD/CAM Software: AutoCAD, MasterCAM, UG NX, SolidWorks is plus
