The ability to write and debug Linux device drivers with knowledge about mutexs, ISRs, user space versus kernel space drivers, mmap and other driver concepts.

Intimate knowledge of Linux with a solid understanding of the kernel, kernel patches, kernel modules, static and dynamic libraries, root file system layout, and available features and functionality in many OSS packages.
