Accessibility Tester

Role & responsibilities

• Over 10 year of experience in Accessibility testing for Web and Mobile based applications
• Evaluate Mobile app, websites, and applications to ensure they are accessible to people with disabilities.
• Use automated testing tools(prefer BrowserStack, Evinced, JAWS, talkover) and manual techniques to identify accessibility issues.
• Understand and implement Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and other relevant accessibility standards.
• Document and report accessibility issues, providing detailed information about the nature and location of the problem.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to rectify accessibility issues.
• Conduct usability testing with individuals with disabilities to gather qualitative data.
• Stay up-to-date with technology advancements and accessibility legislation.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to improve the accessibility of digital content.
• Prefer working in banking domain and lead the accessibility testing project for online or mobile banking.
• Create and maintain comprehensive reports about the accessibility status of tested products.
• Familiarity with WCAG standards and conducting accessibility audits.
• Strong knowledge of assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA techniques.
• Deep understanding of accessibility non-functional requirements
• Added advantage if knowledge of NFRs and non-functional testing.
