Position Overview:
As a Data Analyst in the chargebackindustry at Chargeback Gurus, you will play a pivotal role in drivingdata-driven insights, uncovering patterns, and deriving actionablerecommendations to optimize chargeback processes for our clients. You willcollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your analyticalskills and industry expertise to enhance decision-making, mitigate risks, andimprove overall business performance. In this role, you should be highlyanalytical with a knack for analysis, math and statistics. Critical thinkingand problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. Key Responsibilities
1. Data Analysis andInterpretation:
Analyze large and complex datasets related to chargeback/financial/payment transactions, customer behavior, fraud incidents, and payment disputes to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns.
Develop and implement advanced analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets, contributing to fraud detection and prevention strategies.
Design and implement solutions that identify unique transactions or patterns, contributing to the development of machine learning algorithms that bolster fraud prevention strategies.
Monitor and evaluate chargeback data for anomalies, unusual patterns, and emerging fraud trends, taking proactive measures to address potential risks.
Utilize advanced statistical methods to provide predictive and prescriptive analytics that fuel informed business decisions.
Craft concise narratives and visually compelling reports/dashboards that interpret and communicate data findings, translating complex insights into understandable language for various stakeholders.
2. MIS Reporting and DataPresentation:
Develop and maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports that highlight key performance metrics, trends, and insights for executive leadership and operational teams.
Create standardized and ad-hoc reports that provide actionable insights to business leaders, guiding strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Develop, automate, and maintain a suite of dynamic reports and dashboards that visualize key performance indicators, providing a comprehensive view of our business health.
Employ your analytical prowess to analyze risk-related data, creating strategies that inform risk assessments and compliance efforts.
Work with Sales team to provide ROI for the new clients ensure ROI committed for various business requirements are tracked and presented.
Create intuitive data visualizations and reports that facilitate understanding and decision-making across various organizational levels.
3. Process Optimization:
Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, sales, marketing, client success, and product development, to identify opportunities for process improvements based on data insights.
Utilize statistical analysis and predictive methodologies to recommend proactive measures that reduce chargeback rates, improve dispute resolution efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
4. Data Integrity and QualityAssurance:
Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency in various datasets used for analysis.
Collaborate in data cleansing and transformation activities to maintain a reliable foundation for analysis.
5. Data Visualization:
Utilize data visualization tools such as PPT, Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight or similar platforms to transform complex data into intuitive visual representations.
Design interactive dashboards and reports that allow stakeholders to explore data and gain insights through interactive and dynamic filters and drill-down capabilities.
Must be able to interpret complex concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand graphs, charts, and visual graphics.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, SMEs, and other teams to translate data-driven insights into actionable product features, services, and business strategies.
