Position: Business Development Head (E Commerce)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead and manage our cross-border e-commerce business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international trade, e-commerce, and business development. They will be responsible for driving growth, expanding our global footprint, and managing relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Market Research & Strategy Development:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities in international markets.
- Develop and implement strategies to enter and grow in new markets, focusing on cross-border e-commerce.
Partnership & Relationship Management:
- Identify and establish relationships with key partners, including international suppliers, logistics providers, and payment gateways.
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing partners to ensure smooth operations and business growth.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and local laws in target markets.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to navigate regulatory challenges.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, operations, and finance to align strategies and achieve business goals.
- Work with the product team to develop and adapt offerings for international markets.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on business development activities, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Requirements:
- MBA from Tier I institutes; exposure to International Business or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in business development, preferably in the e-commerce or international trade sector.
- Strong understanding of cross-border e-commerce, international trade regulations, and market entry strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, MS Office, and other relevant tools.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
