Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Promote TUV SUD as a leading rail competence in the region.
  • Familiarize with the local customer, competitor and potential partner landscape.
  • Identify new sales leads through networking and proactive industry observation and research.
  • Identify and follow-up on specific public and private tenders from an early stage on and forward them to the head office for assessment and bid preparation.
  • Provide local input to the bid preparation by the head office, as required.
  • Build-up relationships with the local rail customers and understand their needs and constraints .
  • Search and identify suitable rail partners for TUV SUD, establish the first contact and compile a profile dossier for assessment by the head office.
  • Schedule and prepare meetings and presentations for TUV SUDs global rail experts with potential customers and partners.
  • Maintain a realistic long-term sales pipeline for multi-domain rail projects.
  • Familiarize with local and regional rail associations and advise on upcoming symposia and trade fairs.
  • Record all BD & Sales activities in TUV SUDs CRM system.
  • Compile local rail regulations and forward them to TUV SUDs head office.
  • Prepare regular status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience in the rail industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: should have a Go-to-market attitude with ability to connect with people.
  • Good presentation skills.
