Electrical Engineer - Mission Critical - GFS

Burns & McDonnell India is looking for a candidate to join our Global Facilities Group in Mumbai office to support electrical design activities involved on mission-critical datacenter projects mainly in USA.

 Responsibilities: Specific areas of responsibility include the following:

1.       Designing electrical systems/equipment to provide for a useful and safe workplace

2.       Advise clients regarding electrical systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.

1.       Monitor installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes.

2.       Participate in developing the design criteria for protective device coordination, relay applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution.

3.       Reviews electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.

4.       Developing concept studies and design

5.       Enforces standards and practices.

6.       Work with a Senior electrical engineering in supporting design activities on the project.

1.       Minimum Criteria

a.       Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.

b.       2 years of related electrical design experience

c.       Knowledge of electrical design principles, standards, and codes

d.       CAD, REVIT and Microsoft Office skills necessary to accomplish electrical design goals

2.       Preferred Criteria

a.       Data center or telecommunication facility experience and knowledge of critical facility electrical design

b.       Understanding of NFPA 70, 70E, 75, 101 and other applicable sections

c.       Ability to write specifications for electrical equipment, devices, and material
