Job Responsibilities :

PI System Administration :

- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Aveva PI System.

- Troubleshooting issues related to PI Data Archive, PI Interface, PI AF (Asset Framework), and PI Vision.

- Ensuring high availability and performance of the PI system.

Data Management and Integration :

- Responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing data collection from various industrial systems (SCADA, PLCs, sensors, etc.) into the PI System.

- Integrating PI with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, MES).

- Data quality management, ensuring the integrity and consistency of real-time and historical data.

Monitoring and Performance Tuning :

- Monitoring system health, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing the PI system for improved performance.

- Implementing best practices for data archiving, backup, and disaster recovery.

Support & Troubleshooting :

- Providing technical support to users for data access, querying, and system issues.

- Troubleshooting PI system issues such as data gaps, PI data access problems, or connectivity issues.

Training & Documentation :

- Conducting training for end users on using the PI System for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.

- Creating and maintaining system documentation for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting guides.

Customization and Reporting :

- Building and customizing PI Vision, dashboards, and reports.

- Using PI AF to create and manage assets, templates, and analytics for better visualization and decision-making.

Project Management & Collaboration :

- Leading or participating in PI System-related projects from inception to implementation.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including IT, engineering, and operations to understand data requirements and ensure integration with other systems.

Skills Required :

- Strong hands-on experience with Aveva PI System (PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Vision, PI Interface).

- Understanding of industrial data protocols and integration (e.g., OPC, Modbus, etc.).

- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PI SDK, PI Web API, Python).

- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Familiarity with data visualization tools and reporting.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.

- 5+ years of experience working with the Aveva PI System.

- Relevant certifications in PI or related technologies are a plus.
