Location: Pune.

Your contributions to organisations growth:

1. Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with BC vision and mission at group level & India Region level.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure resources are optimally allocated for maximum impact.
  • Analyze market trends and business performance, providing actionable insights to senior leadership for growth and expansion.

2. Operational Finance Management

  • Achieve financial results as per the annual targets along with local Mgmt. team.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with operational goals and market conditions. Deliver accurate forecasts to stakeholders.
  • Cost Management:
    • Monitor and control costs to maintain profitability while supporting sustainable growth initiatives.
    • Monitor collections vs budget and enforce appropriate checks and controls.
    • Collaborate with operations teams to support cost-effective operations, procurement, inventory management, and logistics strategies.
  • Responsible for Treasury, including cash flow projection, local financing, FX hedging, bank guarantees and local financing in cooperation with the Group Treasurer
  • Implement and monitor KPIs for financial performance, operational efficiency, and cost management in alignment with company objectives.
  • Member of the monthly / quarterly operation review meetings with HQ and Local Board of Directors
  • Monthly reporting of actual results and quarterly forecasts to the Holding Company (under Swiss GAAP)
  • Provide administrative financial support to the Global Service Center
  • Support all functions in financial data analysis for decision making.
  • Be active member of Local Management as well as Global BC Finance community.

3. External Engagements

  • Coordination with external auditor, consultants and law firms in cooperation with global Group functions
  • Lead efforts to secure funding and manage investor relations, ensuring optimal capital structure and growth financing.

4. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Responsibility for the statutory financial statements of the company
  • Local insurance- and risk management in cooperation with the Group Insurance Manager
  • Tax declaration and general tax compliance in line with local legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory laws applicable to the Companys operations and uphold compliance with Group DOA
  • Establish robust internal controls, audit practices, and governance frameworks to maintain financial integrity.
  • Resolve the statutory & internal auditors queries / observations.

5. Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and tax functions. Optimize processes to enhance Efficiency and Profitability.
  • Further development of financial and controlling processes, internal control system (ICS), design and implement automation improvement.
  • Assist with system enhancements with focus on making scalable for future growth and increase efficiency, including acting as the key finance liaison and training staff and third-party accounting teams.
  • Manage special projects, as required.

6. Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance operations, leveraging new technologies and best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Leadership and development of local finance team and capabilities

Expertise you have to bring in along with;

    • Chartered Accountant with 20+ year experience in Finance and accounting
    • Leadership experience in a MNC with a Matrix reporting structure
    • MBA in Finance from reputed Institute, would be added benefit.
    • Company Secretary certification would be added benefit.
    • Tax Law certification would be added benefit.
    • Proven track record in financial leadership roles within the manufacturing sector & Project Industry preferred.
    • Proven track record of driving financial strategy and managing P&L responsibilities in a high-growth environment.
    • Strategic thinker that can think outside the box, focused on efficiency and improving existing processes.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management.
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and business acumen
    • Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex financial operations.

Special requirements:

  • Knowledge of SAP & Power-BI tools is a benefit.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (approx. 10% time)
