Job Description

Career Opportunity with Burckhardt Compression

We are seeking motivated and experienced professional who can effectively contribute to the role deliverables connected with position below. In this position you can actively participate to our growth and make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment as:

Position: Lead Engineer: SHP

Location: Pune

Your contributions to organisations growth:

In general, the provision (i.e. creation and maintenance) of any knowledge objects on the subject such as white books, specification or drawings templates, supplier requirement records etc. as defined within the Knowledge management (KM) process
Structured management of the related engineering know-how through the mentorship of the related competence centers including documentation and training
The definition of supplier requirements in collaboration with the Category Management of strategic procurement
The support of the supplier qualification and vendor development together with procurement
The review of related quality and inspection requirements together with BC quality assurance
Development, maintenance and continuous improvement of global Engineering Standards, maintaining them readily usable for tendering and project execution under the engineering change management process
Presentation of engineering solutions internally and externally
In co-operation with procurement, responsibility for the cost of standards defined (planning and deviation)
Consulting to Application and Project Engineers in application of these standards and tools for planning and calculation of systems and accessories during tender respectively execution phase
The review of plant layouts, especially first-offs where no generic template is available.
The consulting of project engineers and CAD plant designers globally on all subject related matters
Co-operation with partner firms for the handling of specialized engineering tasks.
Participation in BC innovation process e.g. new product ideas and work as expert in development projects

Expertise you have to bring in along with;

Master degree in either mechanical engineering or process engineering, or similar education
At least 5 years experience in similar business or field of expertise
Preferably proven experience in the defined area of expertise, or else proven potential to develop such experience.
